Fiverr Search Tag Strategy (5 Slots)

You get exactly five search tags. This article shows how to allocate them like a performance marketer: core demand, specificity, and one exploratory test slot.

Start from **buyer language**, not your internal services map. Search your gig idea on Fiverr and read auto-suggest and top-selling phrasing. Your tags should intersect those phrases. **Slot A–B — Core demand.** The two phrases that define your primary funnel. Example: “react developer” + “nextjs” for a React landing page gig. **Slot C — Specific outcome.** Tie to deliverable shape: “landing page,” “saas dashboard,” “figma to react.” **Slot D — Vertical or use-case.** “Fintech,” “ecommerce,” “startup mvp” — whichever you can credibly show in samples. **Slot E — Test or synonym.** Rotate monthly: a synonym buyers use (“typescript”) or a lateral phrase (“performance optimization”) to learn which doorway converts. Document changes when you rotate slot E so you know what moved impressions or clicks. GigRank can sanity-check combinations against your title and description so all five tags tell one coherent story.
